Job Title: General Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary
The General Manager provides leadership across:

  • Surface Well Testing & Flowback
  • Early Production Facilities (EPF)
  • Produced Water Treatment
  • Welding & Fabrication
  • Inspection Services (NDT, QA/QC)
  • Training & Competency Development

The GM directly supervises:

  • HR Manager
  • Accountant / Finance Manager
  • Business Development Manager
  • Training Administrator
  • Logistics Manager
  • QHSSE Manager
  • ICT Manager
  • Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Core Responsibilities
    Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement company strategy.
    • Define annual business objectives and revenue targets.
    • Lead expansion into new markets (IOC, marginal fields, EPC contractors).
    • Establish strategic partnerships.

    Operations Oversight:

    • Ensure safe and efficient execution of:
    • Inspection contracts
    • Approve mobilization plans and high-risk job programs.
    • Monitor operational KPIs (NPT, equipment uptime, job margins).
    • Well testing jobs
    • EPF installations
    • Produced water treatment projects
    • Fabrication projects

    Financial Management:

    • Approve annual budget.
    • Oversee cash flow management.
    • Control CAPEX and OPEX.
    • Approve major procurement and capital investments.

    HSE & Compliance Governance:

    • Ensure full compliance with:
    • Client HSE requirements
    • Nigerian oil & gas regulations
    • ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 where applicable)
    • Chair incident investigation review panels.
    • Promote strong safety culture.

    Human Resource Leadership:

    • Approve recruitment for senior roles.
    • Drive workforce planning.
    • Ensure training and competency development.
    • Handle executive-level disciplinary matters.

    Business Development & Client Relations:

    • Lead high-level negotiations.
    • Approve tender submissions.
    • Maintain relationships with:
    • IOC clients
    • Marginal field operators
    • Regulatory bodies
    • EPC companies

    Asset & Equipment Management:

    • Approve acquisition of:
    • 3-phase test separators
    • Choke manifolds (1502)
    • Fabrication machinery
    • Ensure proper maintenance programs are implemented.
    • Burner booms
    • Water treatment skids

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Revenue growth %
    • Client satisfaction index
    • Staff retention rate
    • Training hours per employee.
    • Gross margin per project
    • Equipment utilization rate
    • HSE performance (LTI-free days)

Education + Experience

  • Minimum Qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical preferred)
    • MBA is an added advantage
    • 15+ years oil & gas experience
    • 7+ years in senior management role
    • Strong background in surface well testing or EPF operations.

    Salary
    N1,000,000 - N1,200,000 / month.
