    The Role

    • Are you a full-stack developer with experience in building scalable software solutions, and proficient in front and back-end programming? If yes, you are just what we are looking for.
    • The team at Straitpay is looking for a software developer to join the team and participate in the software development lifecycle from conception to deployment.
    • You should also be a team player with a flare for visual design and utility, and improving user experience.

    What You'll Do

     

    • Design client-side and server-side architecture.
    • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
    • Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.
    • Modify and test changes to previously developed programs, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
    • Oversee the automated testing and provide feedback to management during the development process.
    • Write effective APIs.
    • Work alongside graphic designers for web design features.
    • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.

Education + Experience

  • Requirements and Qualifications

    • A Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field is a plus!
    • 3 years of proven experience in developing software applications.
    • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
    • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) and UI/UX design.
    • Great attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
    • Knowledge of numerous back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, NodeJS) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
    • An analytical mind.

    Remuneration
