Location: Wuye, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

Primestix Construction is seeking a talented and motivated Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in structural design and construction.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for various real estate projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and risk assessments to optimize project performance and minimize construction delays.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil and structural engineering to enhance the quality and efficiency of our projects.
- Collaborate with the engineering teamand other stakeholders to develop cost-effective and sustainable structural solutions that meet project objectives.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess structural integrity, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

Education + Experience

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE, as well as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with green building principles and sustainable design practices.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology and workflows.
- Project management experience and/or certification (PMP, CAPM, etc.).
